Clear Your Clutter With Feng Shui by Karen Kingston Having built a small library of Feng Shui books, this is one of the most interesting and informative books I have come across. It is about so much more than why to clean up. The information on the meaning of the symbols we gather around us is extremely useful. This is a great book for those working to become better organized, be more efficient or effective in any area of life.

The Western Guide to Feng Shui: Creating Balance, Harmony, and Prosperity in Your Environment by Terah Kathryn Collins This is one of the first Feng Shui books I purchased. The author has many "stories" to tell that are certainly entertaining and it is an "easy" read. Unfortunately, the book is not based on traditional Feng Shui, and I no longer use it as a reference. Still, it is a great introduction to a complicated subject.

Feng Shui: Arranging Your Home to Change Your Life by Kirsten M. Lagatree I have read many books on feng shui and found some of them really confusing and even a bit weird. Lagatree's book helped me understand what feng shui is and how it works. I've already had good results by following her clear explanations. I highly recommend this book!

Feng Shui: The Book of Cures - 150 Simple Solutions for Health and Happiness in Your Home or Office by Nancilee Wydra This is the first Feng Shui book I purchased. Unfortunately, I don't actually own the book any longer. I loaned it to a friend who desperately needed help and I never had the heart to ask for it back!

Look Before You Love: Feng Shui Techniques for Revealing Anyone's True Nature by Nancilee Wydra This is the most recent book I have purchased. Written by a noted feng shui authority, this book teaches readers not only how to better understand themselves and others but how to introduce positive change into their lives through the shape, color, objects, positions, and energies of their furnishings and accessories.

Feng Shui for Life: Mastering the Dynamics between Your Inner World and Outside Environment by Jon Sandifer This is an awesome book for both the first-timer and anyone looking for a little more detailed information about improving your life with feng shui. It covers the philosophy and concepts of feng shui, along with how to determine who you are, where you are, and where you are going. It has a self-assesment section which addresses possible health problems you may have and how to remedy them. There is a lot of information and I refer to it repeatedly.

Taoist Feng Shui: The Ancient Roots of the Chinese Art of Placement by Susan Levitt This is a wonderful guide to the Chinese art of placement from a Taoist perspective. It offers traditional Taoist aspects of feng shui, including the Lo P'an Compass and the I Ching, as well as the relationship between feng shui and Taoist astrology. It also includes information on the Bagua and the Five Elements, including many examples of how to arrange rooms and counter negative energies in your home or office.

Feng Shui Step by Step: Arranging Your Home for Health and Happiness-With Personalized Astrological Charts by T. Raphael Simons Making the complex simple is not easy, but the author manages through the use of many charts and diagrams. Great for reference.

Feng Shui Made Easy: Designing Your Life With the Ancient Art of Placement by William Spear I have read this book many times, each time gaining a better understanding of feng shui. The author warns that when you put cures into place, be prepared for changes in your life, and he is so right! When I first bought the book, I lived in a home that lined up with the Chinese compass, so all of the bagua areas matched my actual home. However, after I moved, I have to turn the diagrams to match the actual compass directions rather than aligning the bagua to my front door. Otherwise, there is a tremendous amount of useful information.

The Personal Feng Shui Manual: How to Develop a Healthy and Harmonious Lifestyle by Master Lam Kam Chuen I still haven't mastered all of the concepts offered in this book, but it has beautiful illustrations and a lot of Chinese astrology. All in all, I would recommend this book as an adjunct to others you should have in your library if you're really interested in this subject. But if you're just looking for a basic introduction and working manual for Feng Shui, this is not the book to buy.

Feng Shui: The Harmony of Life by Juan M. Alvarez Full of basic information, the author professes to include all of the various schools in his interpretations. However, he leans heavily on the Black Sect Method and slights the traditional Compass School. This book is hard to get, and if you have to have it, I'll sell you my copy!

Feng Shui at Home by Carol Soucek King This is really a coffee table book, not a text for true feng shui applications. It has beautiful photographs and is geared toward showcasing work by architects and interior designers that utilized a feng shui consultant.

Lillian Too's Easy-To-Use Feng Shui for Love by Lillian Too Recommendations made in this book are easy to accomplish. Of course, what you do with these newly created opportunities (for love relationships) are entirely up to you. It's not magic. In addition, I have enjoyed my home more in readying it for prospective romance. The author is knowledgeable and provides good insight to feng shui practices that will appeal to a variety of people and decorating tastes.

Sacred Space: Clearing and Enhancing the Energy of Your Home by Denise Linn This book can change the way you feel and think about your home, life, health, and emotions. The author shows you how to organize your life in such a way that can clear your mind, body, and spirit for the better. Although not strictly a Feng Shui book (she only devotes one chapter to the art of placement), the combination of practices from different cultures, especially her own Native American heritage, are quite compatible with feng shui.

Spirit of the Home: How to Make Your Home a Sanctuary by Jane Alexander Because I am interested in "the home" as a topic in and of itself, this book was a real "find" for me. Like the book above, this is not specifically a book about feng shui. Once again, there is just one chapter dedicated to what she calls "The Energetic Home." However, it is a useful addition to my feng shui library. It is intuitive and spiritual, yet practical at the same time.
